Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what control you have.
1. What we collect
When you use popsky, we collect:
- Your WhatsApp phone number
- The messages you send to your Popling
- Media you share (photos, voice messages)
- Basic usage data (when you message, response times)
We do not collect your name unless you tell us. We do not access your WhatsApp contacts or other conversations.
2. How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to power your Popling:
- Building and maintaining your Popling's memory
- Generating responses in your Popling's voice
- Improving your Popling's understanding of you over time
We do not sell your data. We do not use your conversations to train general AI models shared with other users.
3. Third-party services
popsky uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Twilio — to send and receive WhatsApp messages
- Anthropic — to generate your Popling's responses
- Supabase — to store your conversations and Popling data
- Cloudflare — to store media you share
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Your messages pass through Twilio to reach us, and through Anthropic's API to generate responses.
4. Data retention
We keep your data as long as your Popling is alive. If your Popling dies or you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. Some anonymized usage statistics may be retained longer.
5. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time. Email hello@popsky.ai and we will respond within 7 days.
6. Security
Your data is stored with industry-standard encryption. We use row-level security on all database tables. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the service.
7. WhatsApp
popsky operates on WhatsApp's platform. By using popsky through WhatsApp, you are also subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy.
8. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via WhatsApp before they take effect.
